Functional Performance Tests for Stainless Steel Insulated Bottles

Before shipment, stainless steel insulated bottles produced in our factory undergo a series of functional performance tests.
These tests focus on how the product performs under real-world usage conditions, including impact resistance, thermal stability, and sealing reliability.

This page focuses on key functional tests that directly affect:

  • Daily usability

These tests are applied as part of our routine internal quality control for stainless steel vacuum insulated bottles.

1. Impact Resistance & Swing Impact Test

Purpose:
To evaluate the bottle’s structural durability during drops, collisions, and handling impacts.

Test setup & method:

  • Bottle is suspended vertically using a hanging strap

  • Drop height: 400 mm

  • Impact directions:

    • Vertical drop

    • 45° angled impact

  • Impact surface: hard wooden board

  • Test state: static, uncontrolled release

Inspection criteria:

  • Body deformation

  • Structural cracks

  • Weld integrity

  • Functional failure

2. Thermal Insulation Performance Test

Purpose:
To verify heat retention performance under controlled conditions.

Testing procedure:

  • Hot water at 95°C is filled into the bottle

  • Lid is sealed immediately

  • Bottles are placed in the same ambient environment

  • Test duration: 6 hours

  • Bottle selection considers:

    • Capacity

    • Mouth diameter

Acceptance requirement:

  • Internal water temperature after 6 hours must remain ≥ 42°C

3. Heat Resistance Test for Rubber Sealing Components

Purpose:
To confirm sealing ring stability under prolonged exposure to hot liquids.

Test method:

  • Rubber sealing rings are placed in a reflux condensation container

  • Mild boiling for 4 hours

  • Natural cooling for 2 hours

  • Visual inspection without instruments

Inspection focus:

  • Stickiness

  • Deformation

  • Surface degradation

  • Shape recovery

4. Leak-Proof Sealing Test

Purpose:
To verify sealing reliability during movement and handling.

Testing steps:

  • Bottle is filled with 50% capacity of water above 90°C

  • Lid is fully sealed

  • Bottle is held upright

  • Vertical shaking:

    • Amplitude: 500 mm

    • Frequency: 1 cycle per second

    • Total: 10 cycles

Pass condition:

  • No visible water leakage
